Telehop Communications Inc. (TSX-V: HOP) has appointed Rajiv Jagota as its new President & CEO, replacing Fulvio Ciano who will remain until the end of April and on a consultative basis as needed thereafter.
Jagota has held positions with Bell Canada and TAT Communications Ltd. (formerly VSNL) and most recently with Yak Communications as VP of Marketing and Carrier Sourcing and with L3 Communications as “Director.”
Ciano was appointed President & CEO of Telephop in Janaury 2009, replacing Hersh Spiegelman, founder of Telehop, who reained the Executive Chairman position. Hersh Spiegelman passed away October 29, 2009.
Telehop Communications will hold its Annual & Special Meeting of Shareholders on May 25, 2011.
Mignonne E. Spiegelman, the widow of Hersh Spiegelman and the holder of approximately 12.6% of the total issued common shares of Telehop, is proposing to remove the five current directors, with herself assuming the CEO position.
Telehop and Spiegelman have yet to file their respective information circulars.
